5 friends, 2 dogs (named Merlin and Arthur *lol*) and I went to Wales from 6th - 13th July to hunt down some Merlin filming locations. So… myself and asifidletyou recently took a long weekend to go on a Locations Tour, at least partially in honour of Bradley’s birthday. For two of the three days we had the most beautiful autumn weather, just perfect, and I got to visit a couple of new places as well as revisit some of my old favourites. Woot! I am just loving the show's use of locations in ep 306 The Changeling. Somehow it makes the Merlinverse seem all the more real and solid when they revisit places we already know and love.

I can confirm that they did film outside Castle Coch for a scene in S3.

Also I was told by a lady I met that they filmed at Clement End, she described it as "knights running out of the wood and there was lots of smoke". So we'll have to watch for that.
